Your role

As an Environmental Sustainability Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and projects focused on environmental sustainability within the Housing Portfolio. This includes initiatives aimed at improving resource efficiency, supporting sustainable communities, adapting to climate change, reducing environmental risks, and continuously enhancing environmental performance.

You will also be responsible to prepare briefing material for senior Housing Portfolio staff and the Minister on various environmental sustainability issues. Provide regular updates on policy progress and emerging challenges.

You'll work as part of a team to research and create relevant benchmarks, indicators, and strategies that support the Housing Portfolio's environmental sustainability goals and align with corporate priorities and assist staff in adopting environmental sustainability practices across the organization.

What we're looking for

  • Strong understanding of environmental sustainability issues, asset management practices, and social housing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in research, policy development, analytical thinking, and project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing environmental policies and sustainability projects in complex operational settings.
