About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Guest Services Agent to join our friendly team at the Railway Motel and Function Centre in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. As a full-time Guest Services Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our valued guests, ensuring their stay is comfortable and exceeds their expectations.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming guests with a warm and friendly demeanour, and efficiently checking them in and out of the hotel
• Handling guest inquiries, requests and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the reception area
• Assisting with processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records
• Promoting the hotel's facilities and services to guests
• Providing recommendations on local attractions, dining options and activities
• Performing other administrative duties as required to support the efficient operation of the hotel

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or guest relations role, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service
• Proficiency in using hotel management software and other relevant technology
• A positive, friendly and professional attitude, with a genuine passion for hospitality
• Flexible availability to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Morning shifts commence at 6am daily and finish at 2pm and afternoon/evening shifts commence at 2pm and conclude at 9pm. These shifts will generally alternate from two mornings, two evenings and two days off.
