About the Role

Are you a skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) looking to work with a world-class software team? We are seeking a junior and senior talented and motivated engineer to join our Canberra office and contribute to the development of ultra-low latency financial trading systems.

Relocation to Canberra is required for this role.

About the Role

As an SDET, you will play a key role in ensuring software quality for our high-performance trading and financial analytics platform. You’ll work with C#, Java, SQL, and automation frameworks to build scalable and reliable test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Backend Test Automation – Build, enhance, and maintain C#-based test automation frameworks;
• Ensure Software Quality – Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to validate requirements and test user workflows;
• Deploy & Debug Applications – Set up, configure, and troubleshoot servers, databases, and applications;
• Agile & CI/CD Collaboration – Automate test cases and ensure continuous integration and deployment of high-quality software; and
• Financial Domain Expertise – Learn and test complex FX, commodities, and cryptocurrency trading systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency in C# or Java and SQL;
• Experience with test automation frameworks & REST API testing;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git;
• Knowledge of QA best practices in Agile environments;
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; and
• Ability to relocate to Canberra.

Additional Requirements

• Applicants must have current legal authorisation to work in Australia; and
• Two technical tests (approx. 2.5 hours) are required prior to the interview.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in financial trading platforms;
• AWS and cloud-based testing experience; and
• Kaizen/continuous improvement mindset.
