About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Asset Officer to join our Community Utilities Planning and Design team. The successful candidate will support the strategic asset management of the Council's water, sewer, and waste assets by providing the necessary technical requirements for the asset system to achieve Council objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- An appropriate qualification of a Certificate III level or above on the Australian Qualifications Framework, in a relevant engineering, industry trade, infrastructure asset management, information technology, GIS or financialdiscipline, or relevant equivalent experience.
- Relevant technical experience working with information management systems or related technical capabilities.
- Relevant experience working with Microsoft Office or Office 365 and related technical programs.
- Experience in undertaking, compiling & incorporating asset data for an operational industry or essential service, managing maintenance data, disposal of existing assets and delivery of new assets.
- Knowledge and understanding in computer aided design (CAD) and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS)programs.
- Experience in preparing reports and data for internal stakeholders.
On a typical day this role will:
- Update and maintain information in Council's adopted asset management, GIS and record management systems
- Process project reports for capitalisation and disposal of community utility assets in Council's corporate systems
- Support planning and operational needs of community utilities with asset related data enquiries
- Collect, interpret and report on asset data for internal and external customers
- Collaborate with Council's Finance and wider Asset teams to support the capture, reporting, auditing and revaluation processes.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $75,441.15 to $87,674.84 depending on skills and experience
