About the Role:

The Early Childhood Intake Coordinator is responsible for working alongside families with children aged 0 – 6, who may have developmental concerns, developmental delay or a diagnosed disability, to provide information and access to early childhood early intervention supports.

The Early Childhood Coordinator - Intake works with families to;

- understand the NDIS Early Childhood approach and referral process,

- complete a referral to the program,

- link into available community/mainstream supports,

- prioritise referral to ensure priority children receive timely support,

- understand and navigate access to the NDIS (where appropriate),

- book in Early Connection Meetings with an Early Childhood Practitioner (where appropriate),

In this role, you will also use your skills to build connections with community and mainstream organisations, assisting to create opportunities for greater participation and meaningful inclusion of children with developmental delay and disability and their families/carers.

This position is full time – 38 hours per week fixed term 12 month contract and can be based in any Intereach Office.

This role will be paid in line with the Health Professionals Award and can be between $85,126.0 - $91,587.60 depending on qualification and experience.

The successful candidate will have Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Allied Health, Allied Health Assistant or related qualification and/or Human Services with experience working with children and families with a family centred, strengths-based approach. You will have a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children, working knowledge of local services and supports and a strong work ethic with values that align with those of Intereach.
