Deliver training inclusive of scientific training for staff within Forensic Pathology and Coronial Services, Public and Environmental Health and Campus Support teams in accordance with agreed training plans. Delivering the training may include assessment of learning and formal reporting of outcome of assessments.
Provide advice and assistance with the maintenance of training records for staff in the relevant departmental systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders including Forensic Pathology and Coronial Services, Public and Environmental Health and Campus Support teams at Coopers Plains, and the broader Pathology Queensland staff in relation to aspects of training, including responding to inquires in relation to training requirements.
Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following. Please consider these competencies and address them as part of your suitability statement:
- High-level knowledge of general scientific principles.
- Significant experience and knowledge in training, education and competency assessment in a scientific setting.
- Competence in the design, development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of training programs using adult learning principles.
- Competence in the basic design and development of online training resources and the ability to gain advanced abilities in the production of online training programs.Exceptional communication skills and ability to establish and maintain professional relationships across the state.
- Leadership skills and contributions to the professional development of others.
- Demonstrated focus upon improving team morale and organisational culture.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- Mandatory possession of a degree in science, with a major emphasis in biology, chemistry, toxicology, communicable diseases or pathology, or equivalent as determined by the delegate.
- Formal qualifications in Education or in the field of Learning and Development would be considered highly desirable.

- Travel between PQ locations to support organisational activities such as audits may be required.
