2025 Crushing Season Factory/Operator Vacancies

About the Role

Seasonal employment opportunities have become available for the 2025 cane crushing season at Mackay Sugar. The season is expected to run from mid-late May and will end approximately December 2025. Mackay Sugar is particularly eager to receive applications from people who have a passion for the Sugar Industry and have a strong desire to see the local industry thrive.

Factory Positions

• Boiler Station Attendant
• Weighbridge Operator
• Fugal Operator
• Cane Receiving Yard Attendant
• Effet/Clarification Plant Attendant
• Assistant Sugar Boiler
• Sugar Boiler / Process Attendant
• Day Cleaner (Day Shift)

These positions report to the Shift Supervisor and are responsible for the efficient and effective operation of both mobile & fixed plant support equipment within and associated with the Factory; as well as maintaining housekeeping standards within the relevant work area.

• Availability for duration of crushing season.
