Senior Asset Management Officer

Full-Time

We are seeking a proactive and detailed-oriented Senior Asset Management Officer to take on a pivotal role in the development, management and enhancement of our asset data and systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of our asset management practices, supporting the development of asset management plans and processes that are integral to Benalla’s long-term growth and infrastructure planning.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Providing user support for the Asset Management System and ensure seamless system operations.
• Maintain, update and enhance Council’s asset data and information systems to meet the evolving needs.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to initiate business improvements and strengthen asset management practices.
• Lead data collection efforts to enhance data integrity and ensure comprehensive asset analysis.
• Assist in annual asset evaluations, service level reviews, and spatial data management for City assets.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Proven experience in asset management systems, GIS, and data analysis, preferably within a Local Government setting.
• Strong understanding of asset management practices, lifecycle costing, and cost-benefit analysis.
