About the role

Spire Law is seeking a litigation lawyer to join our team in Maroochydore.

You will work as part of a team, including a QLS Accredited Specialist (Business Law), and be responsible for providing high-quality legal services to our diverse client base.

This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

• Advising clients on a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters, including building and construction, corporate/commercial litigation, corporate/personal insolvency and defamation.
• Conducting legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Briefing and working with counsel and consultants.
• Taking client statements, preparing and filing court documents, including statements of claim, defences, and other legal documents.
• Negotiating settlements and resolutions with opposing and interested parties.
• Representing clients in court and tribunal hearings, adjudications, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all matter-related activities.
• Collaborating with the broader legal team to ensure the efficient and effective management of matters.

What we're looking for

• 2 to 5 years of experience as a litigation lawyer, preferably in a commercial law firm or equivalent setting.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Proficient in court procedures and the rules of evidence.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Adaptable and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional client service and achieving positive results.
