About the role

Ricketts Point Beaumaris is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our dynamic team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and leading a team of chefs/cooks to deliver an exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This full-time role is based in Beaumaris, Victoria.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and implementing creative, innovative menus
  • Managing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory control, and team leadership
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service
  • Collaborating with the management team to drive business growth and identify new opportunities
  • Fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing kitchen culture
  • Maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Providing mentorship and training to junior members of the culinary team

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within the hospitality industry
  • Exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of food trends, flavours, and presentation
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and develop your team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the management team
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in culinary arts or a related field would be highly regarded
