KPS Australia, is looking to welcome an experienced Sales and Marketing professional to their team.
Reporting to the CEO, the Sales and Marketing Manager (Vic/Tas) will be responsible for B2B selling and marketing
activities across multiple channels, with the focus being the industry relevant wholesale channels. This Melbourne
based, full time role will also include selling and marketing to substantially sized end user networks and government
authorities.
The incumbent will work closely with the National Marketing team, contributing to the development of the Marketing strategy, particularly as it relates to Vic/Tas, developing and implementing curated marketing campaigns. They will conduct a review of current marketing activities (Vic/Tas), identify opportunities for improvement and in collaboration with the marketing team develop and implement targeted campaigns. These campaigns will include targeted activations with industry partners, the incumbent will be “in the field” running these
activations.
The key to success in this role is developing mutually beneficial relationships, with customers, internally and across relevant industries.
Key Responsibilities
Sales
• Selling across multi channels, wholesale channels (predominately), substantially sized end user networks,
related industries and government authorities.
• Lead generation, deal negotiation and closing deals that align with business revenue and growth strategy.
For existing customers, increase purchasing volumes, value and frequency.
• Account management and customer support.
• Communicate how the range of products are different from those of the competitors.
• Participate in industry events. Monitor industry trends and impacts of legislative changes.
Marketing
• Conduct market research and analysis, with a keen eye on national regulatory changes and related impacts.
• In conjunction with the Marketing team develop and execute marketing campaigns for the region,incorporating a multi-channel approach of digital, social media, instore, sales and partnerships.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate industry relevant information on the company website.
• Contribute content for inclusion on the social media platforms. Work with marketing team to develop inhouse marketing collateral i.e. posters, pamphlets, signage, price lists,catalogues and general communication media.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement in store activations, within budget.
• Record, track and report on sales and marketing activities and expenses.
• Compile and ensure marketing database of Red Smoke customer is current and effectively utilise for EDM andother direct communication channels.
• Respond to customer queries.
• Close deals.
• Increase purchase volumes, value and frequency.
• Communicate product details, point of difference in the market and value proposition.
• Attend industry events.
• Implement regular and targeted call cycle and site visits.
• Listen for and share customer/end user feedback to help to ensure the product range, technical information,distribution channels and warranty processes are responsive.
General
• The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key metrics across the region, such as forecasting, budgeting, sales activities and performance, marketing campaigns, customer data,etc.
• Much of the time the incumbent will be “on the road” and must be able to travel intrastate and interstate.
• From time to time they may be called upon to support wider business sales and marketing activities.
The Person
This role is ideal for a highly competent, enthusiastic, and driven sales and marketing professional. Someone who has a wealth of first-hand experience across B2B business development, as well as marketing campaign design, implementation and monitoring. It will suit someone who is able to quickly come to grips with the technical aspects
of the product range, industry nuances and trends. The ideal candidate needs to be self-driven and passionate, someone who engages with customers with confidence because of their depth of product knowledge and who find personal satisfaction by ensuring that their customers receive the level of service that they are looking for. It will be someone who enjoys getting out from behind the computer and mixing with customers, face to face, building mutually beneficial relationships.
The incumbent will be a skilled negotiator and financially savvy, someone who has a history of striking deals that deliver business strategic plans and provide satisfactory outcomes for customers.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
• 5+ years’ experience working in a B2B Sales/Marketing role.
• Tertiary qualification in Marketing.
• Customer focused.
• Must possess a positive ‘can do’ work attitude.
• Collaborative work style, with capacity to work independently.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with a personal commitment to getting the job done.
• Professional personal presentation and communication.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Flexible approach to work, able to run campaigns and attend events outside of “normal work hours”.
• Possess a healthy sense of initiative and know when to apply it. Willing to undertake any relevant training that may be required.
• Intermediate MS Office skills.
• Essential that they hold a valid Victorian Driver’s Licence throughout employment.
• Willing to undertake police background checks and understand that satisfactory outcomes of such is anongoing condition of employment (periodic checks may be conducted).
• High personal integrity, trustworthy.
• Financially literate, able to work within budget and report sales and marketing performance based on sound data.
