About You
The ideal candidate would be individual with a genuine caring and compassionate nature who enjoy caring for the elderly with at least 2 -5 years of Australian aged care experience as a Registered Nurse.
Role responsibilities:
- Provide and coordinate complex care services including chronic disease management, wound care, behaviour support, mental health care assessment and planning, and emotional well being.
- Maintain the initial and on-going assessment, planning and management of nursing care for residents and ensure the individual needs of residents are identified and met.
- Review and update resident information to enable the team to provide truly individualised care.
- Advocate on behalf of residents to medical and allied health professionals.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of ACFI assessments.
To be considered you will need the following:
- The right to live and work in Australia (we accept 489/491 visa holders)
- Current Nurse Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and empathy to develop rapport with residents and family members.
- Working knowledge of quality systems as they relate to the provision of nursing services.
- Computer literacy.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise a team and provide direction.
