About the Firm
Join a well-established financial planning and boutique advisory firm with a tight-knit, multi-disciplinary team. With a strong presence in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the firm provides a structured yet flexible environment that prioritises productivity over timesheets. You’ll be working closely with the Director, a highly experienced and down-to-earth leader, and managing a team of accountants while delivering expert advisory services to a diverse client base.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (3+ years in a senior role) or a Manager to lead and support our Business Advisory team in Brisbane CBD. You’ll be responsible for providing business and tax advisory services while mentoring junior accountants and working directly with the Director to drive business growth. If you enjoy working within public practice but crave a change from the traditional firm structure, this is the role for you.

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and reports for various entities and industries
• Handle GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparation, as well as tax research
• Work closely with clients to provide strategic advice tailored to their personal and business needs
• Perform journal adjustments, reconciliations, and financial modelling/forecasting
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior accountants, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards

About You

• Applicant must be CA or CPA qualified
• Extensive experience in public practice (business services/tax advisory)
• Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and lead a team
• Strong technical expertise in Xero, MYOB, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
• High attention to detail, strong time management skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
