What's on offer?
Remuneration package of up to $132,289 p.a., comprising base salary range of $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (NG6-1), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

About the role
In this position your will provide primary midwifery care as part of a low-risk model, in collaboration with other health care providers, across the continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-partum period. Care to be provided within the Ingham Health Service and in the community, and in collaboration with Townsville University Hospital as required. The incumbent provides clinical leadership and expertise, with support and education to other Midwives within the group practice, ensuring the provision of best practice, collaboration and quality patient care for women and their families.

Role requirements

  • A Bachelor of Midwifery/Diploma of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • The successful candidate will be required to complete mandatory competencies including the Extended Practice Authority for Midwives, Examination of the Newborn package and the Water Immersion in Labour package, within three months of commencement.

Highly desirable
Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the position or working towards a relevant qualification.
