About the Position
Situated within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, the Biomedical Sciences discipline is responsible for the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Health Science and associated Honours program and contributes to teaching within the Bachelor of Medical Studies (the pre-clinical phase of the Bond Medical Program).
Two short-term vacancies have arisen for Senior Teaching Fellows as follows:
- Senior Teaching Fellow – Microbiology and Immunology (0.8 FTE)
- Senior Teaching Fellow – Biomedical Sciences (0.8 FTE)
These positions may be responsible for leading teaching of relevant subjects within the Biomedical Science and Health Science programs and contributing to teaching in other subjects including within the Bachelor of Medical Studies.
About the Person
The Discipline invites applications from suitably qualified candidates with relevant backgrounds in biomedical sciences and teaching experience in one or more of the disciplines taught within the programs. Candidates for the Microbiology and Immunology focussed position should have a background and experience within those disciplines.
Successful candidates will have at least a Bachelor degree with Honours or equivalent in a relevant field, ideally Biomedical Science or similar. They will have experience in effective teaching relevant to biomedical science disciplines within an Australian university context at an undergraduate level.
Salary details
The salary for these 0.8FTE positions commences at $86,442.02 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $108,052.53 per annum) plus 11.5% superannuation.
