We are looking for a full-time Behaviour Support Practitioner in the Gold Coast/Northern NSW. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, professional and culturally appropriate service to NDIS Participants.

About The Role
As Emotional Balance’s Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-level, evidenced-based clinical advice and professional information for the crucial role of implementing individualised Behaviour Support Plans and assessments for the people we support.
This role requires working with individuals with a disability or complex mental health difficulties and engaging the people we support in therapy and skill building. Through applying evidence-based approaches you will reduce the impact of challenging behaviour and improve outcomes for the person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support NDIS Participants and their key supporters
- Perform comprehensive behaviour support plans and risk assessments
- Work collaboratively and equitably with each person we support
- Manage and hold a caseload of complex behaviour support participants
- Identify strategies for people we support
- Identify evidence-based strategies for people we support
- Provide training and resource development to the participants' stakeholder group
- Comply with all authorisation requirements for the use of Restrictive Practices.
What you will bring to the role:
- OR you will have extensive case management or clinical experience in the disability, mental health or trauma field.
- If you are already registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission, this will be highly regarded.
- Have tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a Bachelor's Degree related to Behaviour Support. You will also have NDIS knowledge and experience.
- Be organised and have good time management to complete the necessary paperwork and reporting;
- Communication that is supportive, demonstrates integrity, compassion and inclusion;
- Be able to connect and build meaningful relationships with a range of people from all walks of life;
- Be innovative and collaborative with highly developed problem-solving skills;
- You will be confident in navigating computer and IT software;
- Have your own form of transport and a valid driver’s licence; and
- You have all the necessary paperwork to evidence rights to work.

Salary starts at $85,000 plus super, plus car allowance.
