About the Role
The Lithotripsy theatre technician is an integral member of the multidisciplinary lithotripsy team. You will have competent knowledge of the required resources and equipment needed for Lithotripsy procedures, as well as appropriate patient preparation. As required, you will be required to travel intrastate to provide service delivery, whilst ensuring equipment is at the correct site for theatre lists. Ideally you will have a manual driver's license and/or willingness to obtain a heavy rigid license to transport the lithotripter. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast paced team.
Duties
You will be efficient in preparing the patient and providing care, including safe transportation and positioning of the patient for their lithotripsy procedure.
- Provide technical support in regards to the lithotripter and 'Tug' (lifting equipment for the lithotripter)
- Housekeeping management to provide a clean environment with all equipment required for the procedure
- Coordinate the patients' medical imaging requirements, including transportation of the patient to and from medical imaging
- Have an understanding of medical terminology and technical requirements of the role
- Conduct all daily relevant administration tasks, and ensure accurate documentation
- Drive the lithotripsy truck and attend lists at rural sites as required, whilst ensuring all equipment that is needed is available and ready for use
Classifications for the position range from IN10 ( $73,502 per annum pro rata)

About the Lithotripsy Department
St Vincent's Lithotripsy aims to provide delivery of ESWL services, management and supervision of the lithotripsy equipment at St Vincent's and at other mobile sites across Victoria. The Lithotripsy service runs session's onsite at SVHM in both main operating theatres and in Endoscopy, as well as visiting remote Hospitals.
