About the role

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Customer Service Representative and Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Farmers Bakehouse in Dubbo, NSW. This is a casual role that will involve providing exceptional customer service in our retail bakery, as well as assisting with food preparation and cleaning in our kitchen. You will play an integral part in delivering a great experience for our customers and supporting the operations of our busy local business.

What you'll be doing

• Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service, including taking orders, processing payments, and answering customer inquiries
• Assisting with food preparation tasks such as toasties, wraps, and food preparation
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and service area, including washing dishes and keeping surfaces sanitised
• Restocking shelves and display cases with fresh baked goods
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
• Supporting the wider team as needed to ensure the smooth running of the bakery

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the food and beverage industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide friendly and helpful service to customers
• A passion for food and handling methods, with a keen eye for detail and presentation
• Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, enthusiastic, and team-oriented attitude
• A keen interest in food safety and hygiene practices
