About the Role

Are you a finance professional ready to elevate your career within the Australian Public Service (APS)? We have an exciting opportunity for an APS6 Finance Business Partner to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering accurate and effective budget management, monthly reporting, and financial variance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of internal budgets.
• Lead the month-end accruals process and provide general advice on a broad range of financial and accounting matters.
• Produce monthly financial reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Provide analysis and advice on current and planned financial performance and position.
• Ensure compliance with the Resource Management Framework, including relevant legislation and policies.

About You

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:

• Strong critical thinking abilities and proven research skills.
• High-level administrative and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to build productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Capacity to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in preparing and presenting monthly reporting briefs.
