Your role:

Your role as a nurse in the Army Reserve will be very similar to what you do in the civilian world, but with the added excitement and adventure that comes from applying your skills to a military environment.

With the flexibility to fit around your regular nursing job, your duties will include things you’re already familiar within your profession. From identifying patient care requirements to supporting the medical team with your expert skills – the difference is you’ll have the opportunity to work out in-field or on military operations.

With opportunities to travel and grow your skillset, this role provides the sense of accomplishment that comes from serving your country.

Wage:

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.

On completion of military training and initial employment training your rate could be: $257/day tax-free.

For this role, you must have completed two years recent acute care hospital based experience and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency a Registered Nurse (DIV 1), General.
