- Salary ranges from $110,266.00 to $122,058.00 + super + leave loading
Our Urban Water Policy team is currently seeking to appoint a Policy Officer Urban Water who will provide policy support for the delivery of a range of reform projects; including integrated land use planning and water management, water recycling, water sensitive urban design, potable water, water industry competition, demand management and drought response.
The Urban Water Policy team works in partnership with customers and stakeholders, including local water utilities, industry partners and other government agencies, on a range of vital urban water policy issues to achieve great outcomes for the community.
About You
We are seeking someone with demonstrated experience and knowledge in:
- Conducting timely research and analysis to support delivery of reform projects.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to help build positive working relationships.
- Drafting well-researched papers and briefing notes to support decision-making.
- Providing project support and coordination to help achieve key outcomes.
A sound knowledge of processes for the planning and delivery of water services, water resource management, land use planning, or the principles of integrated water cycle management would be an advantage but is not essential.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in policy, public sector administration, economics, environmental science or equivalent, relevant professional experience and training.
- Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of the policy process, project management and the processes of government.
