Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our hardworking team.
As an Experienced Sous Chef at Stockwell Hotel, you will play an important role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen operations, contributing to the creation of delicious dishes and guiding the apprentice chiefs alongside the head chef. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment, where you will be an integral part of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning, researching items, creating menu plan and planning dish presentations
- Food Preparation, overseeing food preparation, ensuring dishes are cooked well and presenting the dishes at the highest standards
- Quality Control, monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of production
- Kitchen Management, working with other kitchen staff to ensure kitchen runs smoothly and all staff are maintaining correct procedures and using equipment properly
- Staff Training, using your knowledge to training junior and apprentice staff
- Inventory Management, doing inventory, making sure menu items are at correct stock levels
- Hygiene, explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations and procedures to staff to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Customer Service, ensuring customer satisfaction and service at a high-level setting example for other staff
Qualification:
- Relevant degree, advanced diploma or diploma
- At least 2 years’ experience in all aspects of cooking, kitchen operations, staff management and stock control
- Preference for candidates who are succeeded in fast past pub style environment and looking for a change of scenery or a local
- Must have working in Australia requirements
