About the Role

As an Intermediate Accountant at Solution Accountants, you will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of clients and contributing to our high-performing team. You’ll report directly to the Accounting & Tax Manager and work closely with the Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse client portfolio across various industries
• Prepare and review tax planning figures and analysis
• Prepare and review Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns
• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies, and SMSFs (optional)
• Ensure all compliance deadlines are met and proactively manage workflow
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to firm growth
• Communicate directly with clients to develop strong professional relationships
• Collaborate with team members and provide support where needed

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in a public practice firm
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation
• Experience with financial statement and tax return preparation
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, MYOB) is a plus
