We are looking for a Field Service Engineer, who will perform mostly mechanical maintenance & service work on Tetra Pak equipment (such as A3/Speed, A3/Flex and Speed DEs), as well as occasional installation & commissioning, experience in processing or packaging lines.
A typical day would see you travel from the Melbourne office to our customers sites to complete service work. Or you could be based on location as a dedicated site engineer. Occasionally you may be a required to stay away from home over night, to be close to a customer site.
What you will do
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
- Be willing to travel to customer sites
- Be willing to take a diverse approach with equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance activities.
- Perform routine service activities
- Perform installation & machine assembly.
- Participate in the installation of relevant rebuilding/upgrade kits.
- Be able to act as site responsible for L1 and L2 Capital Equipment installations at customer sites
- Be willing to work some shift work, if required
- Inform relevant colleagues in a timely manner about Technical Issues you have discovered
- Inform relevant team mates about ongoing service activities as well as of any issues affecting our customers or the quality of our service.
- Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak at all times, ensuring good working relationships with the customer and your colleagues and ensure our reputation is sustained
- Complete all work in accordance with Tetra Pak and Customer safety regulations and requirements, and in accordance with Tetra Pak standards and requirements regarding product quality and food safety. Escalate all discovered food safety, quality assurance and regulatory issues.
- Comply with all reporting requirements.
- Deliver on KPI’s that focus on productivity, customer satisfaction, and contribute to our maintenance work sales margin and growth.
Who you are
We believe you have:
- Proven experience in maintenance and/or repair work of Tetra Pak equipment, including A3/Speed, A3/Flex and Speed DEs in processing or packaging lines
- A professional approach to your duties, and take responsibility for service delivery
- A willingness to learn & an interest to forge a challenging career in service delivery
- Self motivation with a ‘can do’ attitude when taking on day-to-day challenges

- As we have more than one vacancy available the hours offered may be on a shift work rotation which will include weekends.
