Musical Instruments Retail Store Staff

Living Music is seeking talented, enthusiastic, experienced, and customer-focused Retail Staff to work Full Time, Part-Time and Casual in our Melbourne locations:

Highpoint Shopping Centre Store, Maribyrnong.

Southland Shopping Centre Store, Cheltenham.

Eastland Shopping Centre Store, Ringwood.

Knox Shopping Centre Store, Wantirna (opening April, 2025).

Watergardens Shopping Centre Store, Taylors Lakes (opening May, 2025).

Living Music is an Australian-owned business with stores offering music instrument sales, repairs and service. Living Music has a longstanding reputation within the community for friendly, professional service and expertise.

These are varied and interesting jobs which would best suit musicians that have had successful extensive retail sales experience in this or any comparable industry and are looking to make their passion for music their career.

We are offering full-time positions, part-time short 20 - 30 hour weeks (3 - 4 day weeks) as well as casual fills all with rotating Rosters that call for alternate weekend work.

Successful candidates will enthusiastically and competently run this store with minimum supervision and be involved in the day-to-day customer sales, phone enquiries and and resolving any customer issues including returns and warranties.

You'll have a can-do, positive attitude, friendly smile, confidently interact and communicate effectively with all customers providing top-class customer service and advice to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied. You will be neatly presented and take pride in keeping the shop and stocks clean and organised at all times.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure outstanding service to all customers as well as accurate product information and pricing for all the in-store products
• Ditto for product service and support to customers in person and via telephone and online.
• Keep the shop presentation at the highest level, ensuring shops are well stocked and all our products look their very best at all times.

To be a successful applicant, you:

• Must have substantial proven experience in a retail environment
• Must be able to play guitar. Ability to also play other instruments including Bass, Ukulele, Keyboards, Drums, Brass & Woodwind, etc will be a huge advantage to the applicant.

• You must possess a drive for providing outstanding customer service at all times
• Be of an easy going nature, polite, with a good sense of humour while always being professional
• Be able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a tight-knit team
• Have a passion for the Musical Instrument retail industry and sales achievement
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
• Be punctual and enthusiastic at all times
• Be highly organised and efficient and demonstrate good attention to detail
• Take pride in your personal presentation
