As a result of our sustained growth in our target market segments, we are currently seeking an energetic, motivated, and enthusiastic - ELECTRCIAL ENGINEER (LIGHTING) based at the Newcastle Head Office facility. We seek applicants with a high level of Lighting knowledge and lighting design experience. Previous experience in a similar role with the ability to support our current customers, new business, and our specified projects. This role will focus on Large Scale Projects, Strategic End Users, Tier 1 & 2 Contractors and OEMs and lead the implementation of Phoenix EMS Hazardous Area Lighting & Enclosure workshop.

Role
Due to rapid growth and demand for Phoenix EMS products & value add turnkey solutions services in the Australian market and as part of our key growth strategy, we are seeking to expand our national capabilities and further establish the Phoenix EMS brand as the market leader in Australia for our products and services.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager the role of ELECTRCIAL ENGINEER (LIGHTING)is to:

• Responsible for Lighting Studies & Designs.
• Develop, interpret and analyse concept design drawings, technical specifications, and scopes of works.
• Provide support in Project Co-ordination
• Sales support with preparation of quotations & tenders
• Provide Technical support to our customers, distributors, partners, and Phoenix EMS Sales Team relating to lighting designs and product selection
• Contribute to the on-going R&D and Product Development of the Lighting products
• High level of communication to both customers & suppliers
• Assist in statutory and compliance for all Phoenix EMS Lighting products
• Develop a high level of product and application knowledge to support Phoenix EMS product and services
• Collaborate with internal sales personnel or external as nominated in the planning and executing of quotation and tenders for opportunities within the region
• Be an active member in Business Development meetings and initiatives
• Ensure that company standards, policies and company core values are maintained
• Deliver on role outcomes against business KPI’s in order met or better company goals

Skills, Attributes & Experience

This position requires an experienced person with the below skills, attributes, and experience:

• Proven 1 year + of experience in detailed Lighting Design
• Understanding of Australian & International Standard applicable to lighting design
• Professional qualifications in Lighting or Electrical Engineering Disciplines or proven experience in the Australia Market
• Efficiency and proven experience in the use of Auto CAD, Navisworks, Inventor & Adobe suits of software
• Proven experience with AGI, Dialux, Revit, 2D & 3D applications, and other Lighting simulation packages such as REVIT
• Knowledge of Hazardous Area Applications & Compliance
• Knowledge of the Lighting Industry, product portfolio, target clients and applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to conduct customer presentations.
• Excellent time management skills for sales tasks & tender delivery
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

Package
