About the Role:
Seeking a Category Manager - Maintenance and Production Services to drive operational efficiency through strategic procurement and contract management. This full-time, permanent role requires expertise in procurement, engineering, or manufacturing operations. You'll oversee category plans and supplier agreements, ensuring reliable and cost-effective services while meeting financial and performance targets through strong commercial acumen and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy Development: Manage procurement strategies for Maintenance and Production Services, overseeing significant spending.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with operations, production, and engineering teams to align procurement with service requirements.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Handle the procurement lifecycle, including RFQs, tenders, and supplier negotiations.
- Supplier Management: Foster key supplier relationships for performance, compliance, and improvement.
- Cost and Efficiency Optimisation: Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency improvements.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans to minimise disruptions.
- Sustainability and Innovation: Promote sustainable practices and drive service and technology innovations.
- Compliance and Governance: Adhere to legal, regulatory, and corporate standards, maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in Engineering or Manufacturing industries with a strong understanding of operational environments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Solid commercial/procurement expertise.
- Proficiency in documentation, legal, and contract management.
- Comprehensive understanding of policy and governance requirements.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
This role is based near Henderson, but you will be offered the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week. A salary up to $160k + super is on offer.
