We are currently seeking a talented and professional Senior Financial Accountant to join a prestigious and innovative organisation at the forefront of engineering and design.

About the Role:

Commencing immediately for a 6 month contract, you will play a pivotal role in having a hands on approach and focus on the timely completion of their year-end financial processes, including liaising with external auditors, preparing statutory accounts and managing the group reporting.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Year-end closing – manage and execute the year-end closing process, prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and financial schedules
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation
• External Audit Liaison – Key point of contact for external auditors, coordinate and facilitate audit requests, assist with the resolutions of audit findings and recommendations
• Statutory Accounts and Group Reporting – prepare and review statutory accounts in compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards
• Analysis of financial data and preparation of management reports
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

Your skills will include:

• Proven experience as a Senior Financial Accountant with a focus on year-end closing and external audits
• A degree qualification and completed CA/CPA certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture client relationships.
• Financial acumen, with a keen ability to analyse financial statements and make informed decisions.
• Experience with statutory accounts and group reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
