Mental Health Clinician - Remote Telehealth Role
Hourly Rate: $61.95 + shift penalties
Duration: Contract until June 30th, with potential for extension or permanent placement
Hours: Minimum 18.75 hours per week up to 38 hours per week - Set your own availability across 7 days between 9am and 10pm (shifts will be fixed on a fortnightly roster)

As a Remote Mental Health Professional, you will play a vital role in providing timely, high-quality mental health support to people across Australia via phone and webchat. This fully remote role allows you to use your clinical expertise to deliver mental health triage, risk assessment, and tailored referrals, all from the comfort of your home.

You'll be the first point of contact for individuals experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Your goal will be to assess their immediate needs, manage risk where appropriate, and guide them to the right care pathways.

This is a multi-faceted position, blending:

• Crisis intervention and brief therapeutic support
• Mental health education and psychoeducation
• Referral coordination to local services within a stepped-care model
• Accurate documentation and adherence to established clinical protocols

You'll work independently within a supportive virtual team environment, guided by experienced Clinical Leads and supported through regular coaching, case reviews, and access to clinical governance expertise.

What We're Looking For

• Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Psychology.
• Current unrestricted registration within your relevant occupation (AASW, AHPRA, APAC)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a mental health setting, with strong clinical assessment and triage skills- non negotiable
• Confidence working autonomously in a virtual environment.
• Comfortable using technology and communicating via video conferencing, instant messaging, and online systems.

Role Requirements

• Must have Australian working rights.
• Must already be located within Australia.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 18.75 hours per week with flexible shift options across 7 days between 9am and 10pm.
• Strong time management and self-discipline skills to manage remote work effectively.
• A quiet, private home office for confidential calls
• WWCC and willingness to obtain a police clearance
