Suncare Support Worker - what's involved in the role?
We are seeking a Permanent Part-Time Support Worker (up to 51 hours per fortnight) to provide in-home support to our customers. This role primarily involves leave coverage, with a fleet vehicle provided for work-related travel throughout the Brisbane and Caboolture region. The vehicle is to be collected daily from Suncare's North Lakes office at 7:00 AM, marking the start of your paid workday.
Typical working hours are Wednesday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of additional hours based on your availability and our operational needs.
The role of a Suncare Support Worker actively supports the individual needs of aged people who are living at home, either independently or with family. No two days are the same with our customers and may include delivering personal care, household domestic assistance (cleaning bathrooms, mopping, dusting), meal preparation, accompanying them on shopping trips, appointments, community activities, providing general companionship, and helping them build social networks.

For this position you will be required to be physically fit, hold a valid Driver's Licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured. A Criminal History Check and CPR and First Aid certificates are required in this position, and you will need to have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

As prescribed by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award the rate of pay for this classification is:
- $32.67 per hour, plus superannuation for Aged Care Workers with a Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
- $31.64 per hour, plus superannuation for Aged Care Workers without a Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
