Posted 15 days ago
Role: Cafe Assistant & Barista
Status: Part Time & Term Time only (get school holidays off)
Location: Mancel College @ Fig Tree Pocket, Brisbane
Role Commencing: ASAP
As our Café Assistant & Barista, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and vibrant space where our school community connects over great coffee and fresh food.
Supporting the Café Coordinator and Barista, you’ll help keep things running smoothly during the busy morning rush, brewing coffee, preparing and serving food for friendly staff, hungry kids, busy parents, and local tradies, as well as stocking and organising supplies to ensure seamless service.
As the morning winds down, you’ll shift your focus to maintaining a clean and organised workspace, restocking inventory, and assisting with food preparation for the day ahead. Your attention to detail will help create an efficient and well-prepared café environment for the team.
Before wrapping up your shift, you’ll ensure the tuck shop is clean, well-stocked, and ready for the rest of the day, so you can head home and enjoy your afternoons and weekends with your family.
Our café is a vibrant hub for students, staff, parents, and the local community. As the friendly face of our café, you’ll engage with a diverse range of customers, delivering warm and positive service with every interaction.
At Mancel College, we believe in fostering a sense of community, and you will play a key role in creating a space where people come together over coffee and fresh food.

- Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving enquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
