About the Role:

An exciting opportunity to manage security operations for a significant long-term construction project. As the Construction Security Manager, you will oversee physical, personnel, and information security, ensuring compliance with security protocols and governance frameworks. This role is perfect for someone with a background in construction security and a passion for safeguarding critical infrastructure.

What we are looking for:

Proven experience managing security requirements on construction sites.

Understanding of Government security requirements, including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Experience in project management, procurement, and contract management.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Excellent risk management skills and the ability to recommend effective risk treatments.

Experience in preparing high-level written reports and delivering presentations.

Current Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead security management planning, coordination, and delivery for the project.

Oversee security governance, policies, and procedures, including regular auditing.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government and regulatory authorities.

Manage security operations, review plans, and attend site visits.

Supervise security personnel and ensure compliance with security protocols.

Provide strategic advice on risk management and recommend effective treatments.

Prepare project and financial documentation to inform governance committees.

Produce high-level written reports and deliver presentations.

Eligibility:

Must be an Australian citizen.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance.

Commitment to APS Values, Code of Conduct, and protective security policies.
