About the Role:

As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA), you will:

• Provide therapy and support to children in their homes, schools, childcare centres, kindergartens, and community settings
• Follow an Individual Plan developed by the child’s lead Allied Health Professional (Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Child Psychologist)
• Run sessions that are fun, engaging, and designed to help children achieve their individual goals
• Attend and support our school holiday social group activities
• Work with children both one-on-one and in group settings
• Be available for after-school sessions (between 3 pm - 6 pm). essions and all day for social skills sessions

The role is ideal for:

• Students studying Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Education
• Experienced Early Childhood Educators, Primary/Secondary School Teachers, or Support Workers with a passion for working with children
• Those who are enthusiastic, professional, and committed to empowering children and families

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• A valid Working With Children Check/Blue Card (Employee) (or be prepared to obtain one)
• A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
• Comprehensive Car Insurance with Business Usage (or be prepared to obtain this)
• Completed NDIS Training Module & NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
• Current First Aid Certificate (optional but beneficial)
• Prior experience in a community-based Allied Health Assistant or Support Worker role (highly regarded)
