About the Role:
As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA), you will:
- Provide therapy and support to children in their homes, schools, childcare centres, kindergartens, and community settings
- Follow an Individual Plan developed by the child’s lead Allied Health Professional (Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or Child Psychologist)
- Run sessions that are fun, engaging, and designed to help children achieve their individual goals
- Attend and support our school holiday social group activities
- Work with children both one-on-one and in group settings
- Be available for after-school sessions (between 3 pm - 6 pm). essions and all day for social skills sessions
The role is ideal for:
- Students studying Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, or Education
- Experienced Early Childhood Educators, Primary/Secondary School Teachers, or Support Workers with a passion for working with children
- Those who are enthusiastic, professional, and committed to empowering children and families
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- A valid Working With Children Check/Blue Card (Employee) (or be prepared to obtain one)
- A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
- Comprehensive Car Insurance with Business Usage (or be prepared to obtain this)
- Completed NDIS Training Module & NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
- Current First Aid Certificate (optional but beneficial)
- Prior experience in a community-based Allied Health Assistant or Support Worker role (highly regarded)
