- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
About the role
As the Senior Policy and Projects Officer for our service, you will support us by leading and contributing to the development and delivery of the FDRS project priorities, including enhancement of our electronic case management system, data coordination and reporting improvements and other client-centred activities (including redesign of our intake tools and strategies to increase client input into service design).
You will also support the senior FDRS team to meet strategic FDRS objectives such as promoting the inclusion of the voice of children and young people, building inhouse mediation capacity and scoping other ways of resolving family disputes.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- High level project management skills, including an ability to think laterally and innovatively and provide clear advice and solutions, based on an analysis of service data
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to sensitively engage with multiple service users
- Proven experience in working autonomously and the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the general values of VLA and a commitment to our vision and values.
- Demonstrated experience working with First Nations Australians, including an understanding of the cultural norms, communication styles and complex issues experienced by First Nations people.
