Melbourne Eastside Dermatology (MEDerm) is a growing specialist dermatology and laser aesthetics clinic dedicated to patient-centered care. We are expanding to create a state-of-the-art dermatology and cosmetic facility and are looking for a highly motivated Dermal Clinician to join our expert team.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside industry-leading dermatologists, including Dr. Desmond Gan—KOL for Candela ANZ (PicoWay, VBeam, Nordlys). You will gain valuable hands-on experience with cutting-edge laser technologies in a supportive and professional environment.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Patient Consultations – Assess skin conditions, cosmetic concerns, and provide expert skincare advice.
• Laser & Aesthetic Treatments – Perform laser therapy, IPL, RF microneedling, chemical peels, and other advanced aesthetic procedures once trained and certified.
• Assist Dermatologists in Cosmetic & Laser Procedures – Support specialists during injectables, laser resurfacing, and other dermatological treatments.
• Clinical Documentation & Administration – Maintain detailed patient records, manage photography, advise on pathology results, and respond to patient inquiries.
• Cosmetic Treatment Coordination – Assist with scheduling, booking management, and laser equipment maintenance.
• Skin & Mole Checks (Optional) – Assist dermatologists with skin checks (depending on experience)
• Marketing & Social Media (Optional) – If skilled, contribute to social media content creation, patient education, and promotional activities.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 18 months experience performing laser and aesthetic treatments.
• Strong communication and consultation skills to build patient trust.
• A passion for ongoing learning and professional development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinic.
• A commitment to long-term career growth in dermatology and laser aesthetics.
• Certifications in laser safety, skin therapy, or aesthetic procedures.

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Additional language skills (please list any conversational languages).
• Prior experience in a dermatology, plastic or cosmetic clinic.
• Interest in marketing, social media, or patient education initiatives.

Details of Position

• 4 days work (working up to full time capacity)
• Must be able to work minimum 2 weeknight evening clinics (finish at 7pm) per week, and half day weekend (Saturday) every fortnight
• Work location in Blackburn South (Looking to expand services in Croydon)
• Hourly rate $32-$45 depending on experience
• Free on-street and off-street parking
• Must be happy to work in busy tight spaces (do not expect to walk into beauty spa clinic) until new building is completed
