The role
Nurse Next Door - Melbourne Inner South East is seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker | Personal Care Attendant | PCA | Nurse to join our dynamic team in Elsternwick, VIC 3185. This is a casual position where you will play a crucial role in providing personalised in-home care and support to our clients with a range of disabilities and care needs.
The locations
St.Kilda, Bentleigh, Brighton, Hampton, Moorabbin, Highett, Cheltenham area's
What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Providing compassionate and dignified care to improve the quality of life for our clients
- Promoting independence, social inclusion and community engagement for our clients
- Collaborating with the client, their family and the care team to develop and implement individualised care plans
- Maintaining detailed client records and documentation
- Adhering to all workplace health, safety and quality standards
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker, Personal Care Attendant or similar role, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of individuals with disabilities
- Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Aged Care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- A caring, patient and empathetic attitude, with a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred, but not essential
