Electrical Supervisor - FIFO - 2/1 Roster - 10.5 Hour Days - 10 Month Initial Contract

Our client, an established engineering consultancy, is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to support one of their major greenfield mineral sands projects. This is a critical role, as the project is about to commence construction on the process plant and infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the performance, progress, and quality of electrical and instrumentation work carried out by contractors.
• Verify that all on-site electrical and instrumentation work meets technical standards and quality expectations.
• Monitor contractor while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project schedules.
• Review and assess incoming electrical and instrumentation engineering drawings, evaluating any schedule impacts resulting from design changes.
• Identify and report quality assurance issues to the engineering team, assisting in the development and implementation of inspection and testing programs to address concerns.
• Conduct regular assessments of physical progress, working alongside contractors to agree on status updates during weekly reviews.
• Hold regular meetings with contractor representatives to track progress, address challenges, and ensure efficient, cost-effective execution of contracts.
• Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with Australian standards, site safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to electricians and E&I technicians.
• Supervise work progress, enforce quality control measures, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and resolve faults in electrical and control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, motors, and conveyors.
• Work closely with engineering, mechanical, and operations teams to enhance on-site execution and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs, reports, and risk assessments.
  

What you'll have:

• Electrical License (A Grade)
• Electrical Supervisor’s License
• Supervisory experience on large scale mineral processing projects
• Strong understanding of material handling equipment
• Proficiency with PLC/SCADA systems, VSDs, motor control systems, and high-voltage equipment.
