Requirements

• Trade qualifications as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the service and repairs of Heavy Road Transport trucks
• Good knowledge of CAT, CUMMINS & DETROIT Engines
• Experienced with BPW and K-hitch axles
• Welding skill (desirable)
• Understanding of electrical circuits (desirable)
• Attention to detail and excellent workmanship
• Reliable, honest, and have a great work ethic

Responsibilities

• Carry out all vehicle inspections
• Identify mechanical faults and undertake repairs such as Diff, Gearbox and General Engine repairs
• Carry out A,B & C service and repairs on Heavy Trailers equipped with BPW, K Hitch and Hendrickson Intraax Axles
• Undertake service and maintenance procedures
