About the position:

• Reconcile and process weekly timesheets in conjunction with the HR team.
• Process four weekly payroll and superannuation payments.
• Calculate and process employee entitlements, including allowances, overtime, leave, parental leave pay, workers compensation payments, and termination payments.
• Prepare tax and superannuation calculations and process single touch payroll reporting.
• Validate and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and maintain payroll records.
• Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as Attache, Services Australia, Centrelink, ATO, super funds, etc
• Assist with HR administration tasks as required.
• Provide Accounts with payroll data for Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax, workers compensation renewal, and any other payroll data required for accounts reporting.
• Participate in audits and payroll compliance checks.
• Maintenance of payroll system including new employee setup, system updates, and troubleshooting.

Your experience will include:

• Relevant payroll experience in a similar role.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or certification from the Australian Payroll Association advantageous.
• Demonstrated understanding of Australia payroll legislation and employment legislation.
• A willingness to develop an understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and employment legislation
• Proficiency in using payroll software
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong organisational skills and work to deadlines.
• High attention to detail.

This position requires you to work in the office 5 days a week in North Ryde. Close to public transport and parking available onsite.
