We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our dynamic service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, with expertise in programming, troubleshooting, and fault finding. A proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently is essential. You’ll become part of a dedicated and experienced service department where safety is our top priority. With a great attitude and a commitment to teamwork, you’ll tackle varied tasks in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include installing, servicing, and repairing HVAC systems, including heating and cooling units, ventilation systems, and air quality controls. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing system malfunctions, and ensuring optimal system performance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs.
  • Install and upgrade HVAC systems per industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS laws and environmental regulations.
  • Identify energy-saving opportunities and recommend upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records and liaise professionally with stakeholders.
  • Respond to emergencies as part of an on-call roster.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent).
  • Full Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick).
  • NSW Restricted Electrical Licence (or full Electrical Licence).
  • White Card and NSW Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • NSW Gas Work Licence (preferred).

Experience:

  • 5+ years in HVAC, with expertise in commercial/public sector systems.
  • Experience maintaining chillers, split systems, packaged, and ducted systems.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) (desirable)

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and IT proficiency.
  • Clear communication and a safety-first mindset.
  • Experience in Uptick desirable.
