The role

The Strategic Workforce Planning team provides a unified, effective, and efficient workforce management and planning suit including framework, tools, resources, and training supported by a consistent workforce planning methodology across Queensland Health.

The purpose of this role is to lead a team responsible for identifying, analysing critical and emergent issues related to the sustainable development and growth of the Queensland Health workforce.

The successful person

You will have:

• Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills based on experience building and leading high-functioning teams.
• Strategic, conceptual, critical thinking, and analytical capability relevant to a range of strategic workforce planning priority areas and a proven track record in identifying, negotiating, influencing, and implementing solutions to complex problems.
• Project management skills, including the capability to develop, implement, analyse, and evaluate program-related projects.
• Written and oral communication, consultation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to prepare and present major and complex policy-related reports, and to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment, and with key community and individual stakeholders.
