Are you passionate about First Nations education and committed to making a difference? UniSQ College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in First Nations Pathways Studies to join the Team and assist with shaping the future of First Nations education and research at UniSQ!

What you'll do

This position is available to either teaching/research candidates or education specialists. As a Lecturer (First Nations Pathways), you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and contribute to the advancement of First Nations education. Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Teaching Excellence: Deliver engaging and impactful teaching in First Nations pathways and other relevant areas, using contemporary digital technologies and student-centred approaches.
  • Scholarly Practice: Contribute to the advancement of teaching through evidence-based practices and reflective scholarly teaching.
  • Research Contribution: Produce high-quality research outputs, seek external funding, and supervise honours and postgraduate research projects.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in service activities that positively impact the community and profession, integrating research into industry engagement.
  • Professional Development: Continuously develop your professional and leadership capabilities, maintaining currency in contemporary learning, teaching, and research approaches.

What will help you succeed

  • Qualifications: A doctoral degree or equivalent accreditation in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience: Demonstrated teaching and research expertise, with a focus on First Nations education.
  • Skills: High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (37.5 hrs/week)

Salary: Total remuneration range $128,506 to $151,889 pa (includes salary range of $108,581 to $128,339 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
