About the role

TW Concrete Plant Maintenance is seeking a full-time Boilermaker / Welder to join our team on the Gold Coast. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of concrete batching plants. Knowledge of concrete plants operations is not essential but preferred. We service plants all over from Yatala to Ballina.

What you'll be doing

• Perform a variety of welding tasks including MIG and stick welding
• Fabricate, install, and repair various components of a concrete batch plant
• Interpret drawings and specifications to carry out fabrication and repair work
• Operate cutting equipment such as oxy-acetylene and abrasive tools
• Assist with general maintenance and troubleshooting of a concrete plant
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following all safety protocols

What we're looking for

• Formal trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Welder
• Minimum 2 years' experience in welding and fabrication
• Essential tickets and licenses: QLD/NSW white card, EWP ticket, working at heights, open manual drivers license and a forklift license
• Preferred but not essential tickets: confined space
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment and individually
