About the role

Adelaide Mining Services' is seeking a skilled Belt Splicer/ Rubber Liner to join our dynamic team in Adelaide, South Australia. As a Belt Splicer/ Rubber Liner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the critical conveyor belt infrastructure that supports our mining operations. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our mining business.

What you'll be doing

• Perform belt splicing, vulcanising and other rubber lining work to maintain and repair conveyor belts
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on conveyor belt systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve belt-related issues to minimise downtime and maximise productivity
• Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to ensure a coordinated and proactive approach to asset management
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement process enhancements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Belt Splicer or Rubber Liner, preferably within the mining industry
• Strong technical skills in conveyor belt maintenance, including vulcanising, splicing and rubber lining
• Familiarity with belt monitoring and testing equipment, as well as the ability to interpret results
• Problem-solving skills to diagnose and rectify belt-related issues effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the overall maintenance strategy
• Current driver's licence and willingness to work in a 24/7 operating environment
