MBPH is a 172- bed (level 1) tertiary teaching hospital, offering services to both public and private patients. We are a major public referral health service for the Northern Mallee sub-region of the Loddon Mallee region of Victoria, the far west region of New South Wales, and the Riverland area of South Australia. Program Overview:
Our Graduate Nurse Program provides a structured and comprehensive transition into nursing practice. Designed to equip recent graduates with the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to succeed, the programs offer a well-rounded experience through hands-on clinical practice, mentorship, and ongoing education.
The program offers:
- Adult Medical
- Adult Surgical / Paediatrics
- Adult Medical/Surgical
- Day Surgery / Recovery / Theatre
- Sub-Acute / Rehab / Palliative Care
- ICU / CCU / HDU (Combined Unit)
- Emergency Department
- Mental Health
- A Three-Week Extensive Orientation Program – Gain a strong foundation with an introduction to our facility, policies, and procedures.
- Supernumerary Time – Additional support at the start of each rotation.
- Preceptorship & Support – Be paired with an experienced nurse preceptor for guidance and mentorship.
- Professional Development – Dedicated paid study days to support ongoing learning.
- 6 Additional Paid Study Days – Supporting professional growth.
- Three clinical rotations across various specialty areas.

About you:
If you have been offered or successful in gaining a graduate year through PMCV, you will be ineligible to apply or be interviewed for this position.
You are currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing and will complete your degree in the academic year January 2024 to March 2025.
