Opportunity

Kieser is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team in Newcastle. Initially, this role will involve working 2-3 days per week from partnering surgeons' clinical rooms, providing functional assessments and treatment, while managing an existing patient load.

With the new Kieser Newcastle clinic set to open in June, this position offers a unique opportunity to transition to a part-time or full-time role. You will play a pivotal role in triaging patients and safely prescribing and supervising exercise and strength training to support their recovery and wellbeing.

At Kieser, our Exercise Physiologists work with a diverse range of clientele impacted by chronic disease and are dedicated to empowering their clients to restore strength and confidence, enabling them to continue enjoying the things they love most. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide functional assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for existing patients in the surgeons' rooms.
• Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Deliver evidence-based exercise prescriptions for rehabilitation and recovery.
• Support patient care with tailored exercise programs designed to improve mobility, strength and overall health.

Qualifications and Certifications

Required:

• ESSA recognised Bachelor or Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology Degree
• Current ESSA registration
• Valid working rights in Australia
• Active and current Professional Indemnity Insurance
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check

Desirable:

• Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting
• Strong experience in rehabilitation and functional assessments.
• Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Flexibility to work part-time or full-time, with availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays
