About Us:
Melville Family Health Centre is a well-established, family-friendly practice committed to delivering high-quality patient care. We are seeking a Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our supportive team. This role offers a part-time position with an immediate start, providing flexibility and offering and opportunity to work in a family-oriented medical practice and opportunities for professional growth.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our supportive team. This role offers flexible working arrangements, with hours to be discussed during the interview process.
Position Details:
- Location: Melville
- Hours: Part-time (to be discussed at interview)
- Salary: Negotiable based on experience
- Availability: Must be available for Tuesdays and available to assist our current nurse with Home Health Assessments
Duties and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
- Triage and patient assessment General nursing duties including immunisations (administering and ordering), wound care, ECGs, ear irrigation, injections, and procedural assistance
- Chronic disease management (TCA, GPMP, Health Assessments)
- Emergency care duties as part of a team
- Monitoring and assisting with iron infusions
- Cold Chain management and infection control, including equipment sterilization
- Stock control and consumables management
- Supporting quality improvement programs and promoting preventative healthcare
- Administrative support, including recalls and patient follow-ups
- Supporting the Practice Manager and Principal in maintaining policies and procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Registered or Enrolled Nurse with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- CPR Certificate (current)
- Immunisation Competency Certificate
- Full Australian working rights (no restrictions)
- Prior experience in a general practice setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work autonomously
- Friendly, professional attitude with a proactive work ethic
- Willingness to assist with administrative tasks
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with Best Practice medical software (preferred but not essential)
