About the role

We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join our dedicated team at Cowes Primary School in Cowes, Victoria. This full-time 12 month fixed term position will involve providing high-quality psychological services to support the emotional and behavioural wellbeing of our students.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' individual needs
• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to address students' mental health and wellbeing concerns
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to support students' social, emotional, and academic development
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care
• Contribute to the development and delivery of mental health education and prevention programs
• Maintain detailed case notes and reports in accordance with professional standards
• Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities

What we're looking for

• A graduate or post-graduate degree in Psychology and Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) preferably in an educational or community setting
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor approach to diverse client needs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex issues
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
