We are a reputable commercial construction company based in North Sydney, and we’re seeking a Leading Hand Carpenter to join our growing team. If you have hands-on experience in commercial projects, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering quality work, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage sub-contractors, and support our Site Managers on our commercial construction projects.
• Oversee construction trades, aspects of the project, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Collaborate with site managers, trades, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Perform hands-on carpentry tasks as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Sydney Metro, North, South, East and West of Sydney.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in commercial carpentry and construction projects.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly regarded.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Construction Safety Induction Card / White Card and relevant safety certifications.
• Must have your own vehicle and tools.
• Computer Skills
• Construction white card
