IT Hardware Field Service Delivery Technician

Computergate offers a comprehensive range of IT hardware and end-user services globally. We are currently looking for knowledgeable Hardware Field Service Technicians to join our team at our Mansfield, Brisbane office.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering break/fix part replacement services, including dispatch, logistics, workshop operations, and Service Desk support, both in-house and on-site.
- Provide technical expertise in End User technologies, including PCs, laptops, Point of Sale (POS) systems, scanners, printers, network devices, and Microsoft Windows.
- Follow detailed processes for tracking service tickets and managing time effectively within the Service Desk.
- Deploy technical resources to various locations to ensure timely resolution of support requests within specified SLAs.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues at the desktop and end-user level, ensuring efficient problem resolution.
- Diagnose and address equipment issues quickly and accurately while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Support spare parts management and logistics, including warehouse duties and the transportation of parts to and from customer sites.
- Schedule, coordinate, and attend on-site and remote service tasks, ensuring adherence to service guidelines.
Other job requirements:
- After-hours work is expected and will be compensated as overtime. A rotating after-hours roster will be shared among all Service Delivery Technicians.
- Proficiency in using and understanding ticketing systems for efficient service tracking and management.
- Ability to schedule and coordinate remote tasks while collaborating with Computergate-certified Service Providers.
- Involvement in a full range of hardware services relevant to the role.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to assist in multiple tasks across different time zones in Asia and ANZ.
- Industry accreditation and a minimum of two years of recent experience in IT and Service Desk support.
- Proficiency in service ticketing systems and hardware break/fix services, particularly for spare part replacements.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory management; some lifting may be required.
- Experience in remotely coordinating technical solutions for clients.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Fluent written and verbal English skills with a strong customer-first approach.
- Outstanding customer liaison abilities, ensuring professional and effective client interactions.
- Professional presentation, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be an Australian Permanent Resident or hold a valid working visa.
- A valid driver’s license and own vehicle are essential for travel to client sites.
- Short-term hires will not be considered.
- Background checks will be conducted on all employees.
